Step 1: Initial Contact and Qualification
Once we review your introduction, one of our restaurant franchise professionals will contact you for a brief conversation during which we will explore the potential fit and discuss next steps.
Step 2: Web Conference
Once we have made an initial determination of mutual fit, we will ask you to spend about an hour digging in a little deeper on the Donatos Pizza franchise opportunity and how our group and yours might be a good match via web conference. If the web conference goes well, we will ask you to complete our Franchise Application.
Step 3: Business Planning and Due Diligence
Once we have received your completed franchise application, we will enter into a due diligence process that will help each of us confirm a mutual fit. Our Mutual Discovery Process begins when you receive our comprehensive Due Diligence Kit. This process will include visits to your market by Donatos’ development and operations professionals, disclosure and review of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), your discussions with our current Franchise Partners, preparation of your business plan for review during your Home Office Visit, personality profiling and financial, background and reference checks. The Mutual Discovery Process takes between 60 and 90 days.
Step 4: Home Office Visit
Once mutual discovery is complete, you will be invited to visit our Home Office in Columbus, Ohio for a comprehensive experience. During this day, you will talk with key Donatos leaders, tour our bakery and test kitchen facilities, see our concept store and present your restaurant franchise business plan to our panel. At the end of the day, we will set a timeframe for a final decision, which is typically within two weeks of the Home Office Visit.
Step 5: Deal
Based on the extensive work we will have done together during this process, we should come to agreement on the terms of our deal and formalize our relationship within a month of the Home Office Visit. After all of the documents have been drawn up and are in your hands for review during the waiting periods required by the Federal Trade Commission, we will sign the documents and you will be a Donatos Pizza Franchise Partner.
Step 6: Turnover
After the documents are signed, you will be turned over to your Franchise Business Consultant who will guide you through the pre-opening process, which includes real estate, construction and training. The Franchise Business Consultant will be your point of contact to the Home Office and will assist you in process improvement and business consulting of your pizza franchise opportunity.
